RVRC
Communication Design
Overview
During my first two years at university, I lived at Ridge View Residential College (RVRC), a vibrant community that shaped my creative journey. While staying there, I took on the challenge of designing banners, t-shirts, posters, and other visual materials for my house (Chelonia). These projects were more than just creative tasks—they were about building a sense of identity and unity among house members. This hands-on experience taught me how to work under tight deadlines, stay within budget, and collaborate with a team to bring ideas to life.
Approach
My time here gave me the chance to interact with various stakeholders and kickstart a small business selling t-shirts. I also built valuable connections with suppliers, which helped me scale the business effectively. Living here brought out an entrepreneurial side of me that I hadn’t explored before, and it gave me the confidence to turn ideas into action.
