The Nature of Things Website

UIUX Design

Overview

I designed and developed the website for "The Nature of Things," an exhibition at the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum. The site showcases student projects from the National University of Singapore's Division of Industrial Design, focusing on the interaction between nature and urban environments. My role involved creating an engaging user experience that reflects the exhibition's themes, inviting visitors to explore the concept of cohabitation with nature. Given that the site was designed to complement a museum exhibition, I ensured it was optimized for mobile viewing. Additionally, I created QR codes and a mock exhibition to facilitate effective user testing, showcasing my ability to think holistically about the user experience.

Approach

I interned at Greydient Lab, a design agency in Thailand specializing in web design services. During my time there, I had the opportunity to take the lead in creating a website almost singlehandedly. To lay the groundwork, I conducted in-depth user research to understand how people interact with museums. This involved developing detailed user personas and crafting targeted interview questions, which I used to gather insights through online interviews with friends, family, and colleagues. With guidance from my supervisors, I analyzed the feedback to uncover key design insights that shaped the project. This experience taught me how to combine research and creativity to deliver user-focused designs
